York is a friendly 7 month old German Shepherd mix.  He is a very sweet and loving guy, but is a bit shy right now.  York doesn't understand what is happening in his life and just wants to be in a home that loves him.  He was very affectionate with the other dogs at the adoption event, as well as with our youngest volunteer who he was happy to get attention from.  York would be happy to go to a home with another dog and seems to get along with everyone he meets.  Come meet this sweetie pie soon, he doesn't want to grow up in a kennel.

Per his Foster Mom, York is 100% lovebug.  He gets along fine with the resident GSDs and their feline friends.  He has a good appetite, a lovely face, and a velvety smooth coat.  He crates during the night but during the day likes to snooze on a dog bed or relax on it nibbling his favorite rawhide bone.  He has learned to sit and uses the dog door like a champ.  All of this in one week.  York has a very gentle temperament but is also somewhat independent.  He can sometimes be found snoozing peacefully in the shade, while his canine pals are doing something else together.  Don't adopt this dog unless you want a pet that will love you to pieces.
